Memorable diploma "WHGW" - 2024

"WHAT HATH GOD WROUGHT"

 

On May 24, 1844 there was a significant event - on the telegraphy communication line 40 kilometers long between the cities of Washington and Baltimore the Morse code sent the first dispatch with the text of "WHAT HATH GOD WROUGHT".

It became the beginning of practical use of a Morse code in communication, and this date is celebrated by us as "International HF CW DAY ("The international day of activity of CW on HF").

In honor of this event the Russian telegraphy club R-CW-C founded the memorable diploma of "WHGW"

Conditions of execution of the memorable diploma:

Date: On May 24, 2024 (00:00 UTC - 23:59 UTC).
Bands: 160 - 10 Mtrs (WARC inclusive)
Type of modulation: telegraph (CW)

It is necessary to carry out communications:

- For members and guests of club of RCWC (to stations of EU; EU RUS; AS RUS): not less than 20 CW QSO (including 5 QSO with members of RCWC).
- For members and guests of club of RCWC (to the AF stations; ANT; AS; NA; SA; OC): not less than 10 CW QSO (including 3 QSO with members of RCWC).

Repeated QSO are resolved on different HF bands.
On the diploma the communications which are carried out on May 24, 2023 as daily and in any competitions and days of activity passing this day are set off.

Observers (SWL) need to carry out not less than 50 bilateral radio observations.

Memorable diplomas electronic are also sent to all radio fans / observers free of charge.
