Diploma program "Trans-Siberian Railway"

The Great Siberian Way or the Trans-Siberian Railway is one of the largest state projects in the world. The highway united huge territories of Russia, accelerated the development and modernization of Siberia, became a lifesaving country during the Great Patriotic War.

The first wheelbarrow of land in the construction of the highway was laid by Nicholas II, on May 31, 1891, and the final commissioning can be considered the date of October 29, 1905, when the Krugobaikal Railway was commissioned (now it is a section of the East Siberian Railway).

And today the Trans-Siberian Railway is the main transport artery of the country, along which millions of passenger and freight trains travel through Siberia from west to east every year.

The starting point is Moscow-Passenger-Yaroslavl station. The final point is Vladivostok station. The length of the highway is 9288.2 km, it is the longest railway in the world. Its path passes through 20 regions of Russia. The journey time on the imminent train is about 6 days.

The Trans-Siberian Railway diploma program was established by the Russian Telegraph Club.

Diplomas are issued for radio communications by telegraph with the regions of Russia through which the Great Siberian Way passes.

Diploma Conditions:

The diploma has 3 degrees:

- for a diploma of the 3rd degree, it is necessary to conduct one radio communication telegraph with each region of Russia through which the Trans-Siberian Railway passes (total 20 QSO);

- for a diploma of the 2nd degree it is necessary to conduct two radio communications by telegraph with the specified regions (total 40 QSO);

- for a diploma of the 1st degree it is necessary to conduct three radio communications by telegraph with the specified regions (total 60 QSO).

For the diploma, radio communications have been counted since 01.01.2020.

Repeated radiocommunications are counted on different bands.
