Regulations on the Days of Activity "Telegraph Marathon R-CW-C - 2023"

 

1 Organizer of the marathon

 

The organizer of the marathon is the informal public organization "Russian Telegraph Club" (Russian CW Club, R-CW-C).

Chairman of the club's council is Stepanov S.B. (RM4C).

2 Participants of the marathon

Radio amateurs all over the world are invited to participate in the marathon.

The beginning of the Telegraph Marathon is timed to coincide with the beginning of the Anapa-2023 Amateur Radio meetting, which starts 27.07.23 in the city of Anapa, near the village of Blagoveshchenskaya on the sandy shore of the Black Sea.

During the marathon and meetting, amateur radio stations - members of the Russian Telegraph Club (activators), including the collective radio station of the Russian CW Club R4CP/6 (RCWC # 1000), which will work from the venue meetting, will work on the air.

The number of activators is not limited, any member of the club at any time of the marathon can become an activator and make his own contribution to the event. A prerequisite is to provide your log for download to the club's website (rcwc.ru).

Diplomas are established for work on the air with the above activators. The conditions of diplomas can be fulfilled only during the marathon.

 

3 Goals and objectives of the marathon

3.1 Popularization of amateur radio communication using CW.

3.2 Providing the opportunity for radio amateurs around the world to fulfill the conditions of diplomas and receive memorable awards, and for activators is to improve their skills. The introduction into the daily work of radio amateurs on the air is an adversarial component.

The conditions of diplomas can be fulfilled only during the marathon.The terms of the diploma programs of the Telegraph Marathon are published on the website of the Russian Telegraph Club.

 

4 The period of the marathon 

The telegraphic marathon R-CW-C is held since 00.00 Moscow time on July 27 till 23.59 Moscow time on August 05, 2023.

 

5 Radio stations - activators of the Telegraph Marathon

During the marathon, amateur radio stations - members of the club R-CW-C (activators) from both the Russian Federation and foreign countries will be on the air. Modulation - CW. The format of the general call is CQ CALL ... CQ CALL RCWC.

For radio communications with activators points are awarded. The points system is described in detail in the conditions of implementation of each diploma.

Each member of the club R-CW-C, who wants to become an activator, must notify the organizing committee of the marathon to the e-mail address rm4c@mail.ru. The current list of activators is published on the club's website.

Activators are required to send their LOG daily to the organizing committee for filling into the rcwc.ru website.

7 Award Marathon Program

The diplomas, awards and their award conditions are published on the R-CW-C website.

The diploma programs of the Telegraph Marathon 2023 include two separate diploma programs.

1 Diploma program with a sports competitive orientation "Telegraph Marathon - 2023" - 3 degrees.

2 Diploma program "Worked with the radio station of the amateur radio meetting R4CP/6" - 3 degrees.

RCWCLog service has been created on the website of the Russian Telegraph Club (rcwc.ru) to organize the work of activators as part of a marathon and an automated jump of completed diplomas.

At the end of each session of work on the air, activators fill their logs into the service base during the day. Repeated radio communications: (Worked + Call + Band matches) are monitored during filling and automatically deleted by ROBOT, leaving the first date and time connection in the database.

Diplomas are issued for working with the above radio stations

Diplomas are free, given to hams in electronic form.

 

Note:

Communication with an activator radio station operating under special conditions and having an optional fractional part (/M, /P, /QRP) in its callsign is counted as a connection to the callsign without this optional fractional part, ie R4CP/6, R4CP/6/M, R4CP/6/P - in the telegraph marathon are considered one callsign and entered in RCWCLog as R4CP/6. Accordingly, R4CP/6 and R4CP are two different callsigns.

Logs are available for viewing to all radio amateurs both registered on the site and to the guests of the club.

Each applicant can at any time view the statistics of each of the activators, check the records loaded into the database about all or only about his QSO, check compliance with the conditions of all diploma programs by entering his call sign in special request windows.

Upon receipt of the request, the RCWCLog service checks the QSO located in the database and checks the fulfillment of the conditions of diplomas using the entered call sign. The result of the check is displayed as a table. Diplomas "Telegraph Marathon - 2023" and "I worked with the radio station of the rally of telegraph lovers R4CP/6" are available for download only at the end of the marathon.

With each new upload of any log to the service base, the marathon standings are automatically generated, the task of which is the distribution of places among the marathon participants at the current time.

The RCWCLog service interface is intuitive and does not require further explanation. The rules of the service can be found on the website of the Russian Telegraph Club.
