Regulations on the Days of Activity "Telegraph Marathon R-CW-C - 2020"

 

1 Organizer of the marathon

 

The organizer of the marathon is the informal public organization "Russian Telegraph Club" (Russian CW Club, R-CW-C).

Chairman of the club's council is Stepanov S.B. (RM4C). The site of the club: http://rcwc.ru/.

 

2 Participants of the marathon

 

Radio amateurs all over the world are invited to participate in the marathon.

During the marathon, amateur radio stations - members of the Russian Telegraph Club (activators), including the collective radio station of the Russian Telegraph Club R4CP/6 (RCWC # 1000) - will work on the air.

Also, during the marathon, amateur radio stations - members of the club R-CW-C (activators) will be on air. The number of activators is not limited, any member of the club at any time of the marathon can become an activator and make its contribution to the event. A prerequisite is to provide your log for downloading to the R-CW-C site.

 

3 Goals and objectives of the marathon

 

3.1 Popularization of amateur radio communication using CW.

3.2 Providing the opportunity for radio amateurs around the world to fulfill the conditions of diplomas and receive memorable awards, and for activators is to improve their skills. The introduction into the daily work of radio amateurs on the air is an adversarial component. 

3.3 To celebrate the considerable historical events which took place in Russia at different times, establishment of the corresponding radio amateur diplomas:

- 125 years of radio invention Alexander Popov;
- 230 years of the capture of the Turkish fortress of Ishmael;
- 250 years of victory in the Battle of Chesmen;
- 640 years of Kulikovsky battle.

Conditions of degree programs of the Cable marathon are published on the website of the Russian telegraphy club.

 

4 The period of the marathon

 

The telegraphic marathon R-CW-C is held since 00.00 Moscow time on July 20 till 23.59 Moscow time on August 2, 2020.

 

5 Radio stations - activators of the Telegraph Marathon

 

During the marathon, amateur radio stations - members of the club R-CW-C (activators) from both the Russian Federation and foreign countries will be on the air. Modulation - CW. The format of the general call is CQ CALL ... CQ CALL RCWC.

For radio communications with activators points are awarded. The points system is described in detail in the conditions of implementation of each diploma.

Each member of the club R-CW-C, who wants to become an activator, must notify the organizing committee of the marathon to the e-mail address rm4c@mail.ru. The current list of activators is published on the club's website.

Activators are required to send their LOG daily to the organizing committee for filling into the rcwc.ru website.

7 Award Marathon Program

 

The diplomas, awards and their award conditions are published on the R-CW-C website. 

Diploma programs "Telegraph Marathon - 2020" include five separate diploma programs.
1. Diploma program "Telegraph marathon - 2020" - the main diploma program of marathon with sports competitive direction - 3 degrees.
2. Diploma program "125 years of Radio" - 3 degrees.
3. Diploma program "230 years to take the Turkish fortress of Ishmael" - 3 degrees.
4. Diploma program "250 years of victory in the Battle of Chesmen" - 3 degrees.
5. Diploma program "640 years of Kulikovsky Battle" - 3 degrees.

Diplomas are issued for working with the above radio stations

Diplomas are free, given to hams in electronic form.

 

To organize the activators in the framework of the marathon and the automated downloading of the completed diplomas, RCWCLOG is created on the RCWC.RU website.

 

Activators at the end of each session on the air fill their logs in the database of the service within 24 hours. Repeated radio communications: (Worked + Call + Band coincidences) are tracked at the time of filling and are automatically deleted by the ROBOT, leaving the first connection in date and time.

 

Note: Communication with an activator radio station operating under special conditions and having an optional fractional part (/M, /P, /QRP) in its callsign is counted as a connection to the callsign without this optional fractional part, ie R4CP/6, R4CP/6/M, R4CP/6/P - in the telegraph marathon are considered one callsign and entered in RCWCLog as R4CP/6. Accordingly, R4CP/6 and R4CP are two different callsigns.

 

Logs are available for viewing to all radio amateurs both registered on the site and to the guests of the club.

Each applicant can at any time view the statistics of each of the activators, check the records loaded into the database about all or only about his QSO, check compliance with the conditions of all diploma programs by entering his call sign in special request windows.
When a request is received, the RCWCLog service checks the QSO in the database and verifies that the diploma conditions are met by the entered call sign. The result of the check is displayed as a table. If the conditions are met, the diploma becomes available for download (the diploma "Telegraph Marathon - 2020" is available for download only after the end of the marathon).
Each new filling of any log into the service base automatically generates a marathon tournament table, the task of which is to distribute seats among marathon participants at the current moment.
The RCWCLog service interface is intuitive and does not require further explanation. The rules of operation of the service can be found on the website of the Russian Telegraph Club.
